Hi, I'm Lydia of Creatively Curious Therapy
I’ve always had a natural curiosity about life. I’m the friend with the questions, always seeking to understand more, often disappearing down rabbit holes of obscure topics in search of deeper meaning. That same curiosity has also guided me inward, encouraging me to explore creative ways of understanding myself.
For over 15 years, I worked as a teacher in further education. Eventually, I followed my heart and retrained as a Humanistic and Integrative Psychotherapist. It’s a privilege to do this work, and I feel deeply honoured when clients invite me to walk alongside them on their journeys. I believe that everyone can benefit from therapy, where giving yourself time to focus on you and your wellbeing can be a powerful and life-changing experience. Getting to know ourselves, our processes and ways of being can help bring understanding, greater resource when times are challenging and help us move towards fulfilling our potentials.
My own path also led me to the gongs. Attending Gong Baths gave me space to pause from the busyness of life, to step out of my head and simply be. Sometimes, as I sank into relaxation, images or feelings would arise, sparking curiosity that I later explored in therapy. The combination of sound and reflection became a powerful and healing experience for me.
Being led by my curiosity, I attended the Gong Master intensive training at Hawkwood College in Stroud, accredited by the Complementary Medical Association (CMA) and trained under Grand Gong Master Don Conreaux, Gong Masters Aiden McIntyre and Tim Byford. The Gong Master training lead me on the continual path to harness the enriching and expansive power of sound healing through gongs and other instruments, striving to support individuals in their wellbeing, spiritual growth, self-healing, and empowerment.
Today, I bring these strands together, offering psychotherapy, Gong Baths, and Sound Therapy, either individually or combined. My hope is to create a space where you can feel supported to connect more deeply with yourself, explore your experiences, and discover your own pathways to healing and growth.
I warmly welcome you to get in touch if this resonates. I’d love to explore how we might work together.
With warmth,
Lydia

"I really enjoyed my Gong session with Lydia. It was amazing how quickly I became calm and relaxed considering my brain is constantly in overdrive, due to hectic life. Being immersed in the sound is very soothing. Thank you for such a wonderful experience. I will definitely be back."
