A Tuesday to Remember: Hosting a Family Gong Bath with My Children
A heartfelt look back at our recent Family Gong Bath – a gentle, joyful event where children and adults came together to relax, connect, and experience the calming power of sound. With my own children joining me in holding space, this session became a deeply personal reminder of the beauty of shared stillness, presence, and playful healing.

A Tuesday to Remember: Hosting a Family Gong Bath with My Children
Last Tuesday, I had the absolute joy of hosting one of my favourite events - a Family Gong Bath - and it was magical. What made it especially close to my heart was having my own children there with me, fully involved and completely immersed in the experience.
There’s something incredibly special about offering a space where families can come together, slow down, and share in the healing power of sound. And this time, it was even more personal - my children weren’t just attending, they were taking part. From playing the gongs and chimes to helping set the tone for the session, they joined me in holding space for others in such a natural, joyful way.
As families settled onto their mats and the sounds began to flow, the room softened into that familiar state of calm. Parents and children cuddled under blankets, shared quiet whispers, or simply laid back and soaked it all in. It was a shared experience of connection, sound, and stillness - and having my boys by my side made it even more meaningful.
Watching the children enjoy the gongs - sometimes with quiet focus, other times with bursts of giggles - was a beautiful reminder of how intuitive and open children are. They felt the rhythm and energy of the session and responded in their own gentle, curious ways. It wasn’t about doing it ‘right’; it was about being present and calm.
Events like this remind me why I love this work. It’s not just about the gongs or the chimes - it’s about creating moments of togetherness. I’m so grateful to everyone who came and shared this beautiful Tuesday afternoon with us.
